Martin Lawrence Returns As ‘Momma’ In Anticipated Sequel
Martin Lawrence is back as FBI agent Malcolm Turner. This time he is partnering with his step son Trent. The plot takes place at an all girls school. When a murder happens and Trent witnesses it they must fins evidence to convict the killer and bring him to justice.
In prime slapstick form, Lawrence and Brandon T Jackson offer a stellar performance. The jokes abound as the pair stumble through a variety of scenes trying to give lady justice her day. In true form to the Big Momma Series of films, Lawrence dons the drag and puts it all out there for the audience.
The film has been classified under the crime, humor and sequel classifications. It is 107 minutes long. It is rated PG13 because of some sexual humor andviolence that do take place in it. It has been released by Paramount Studios with talents that include not only Martin Lawrence and Brandon T Jackson, but also Jessica Lucas, Faizon Love, and Emily Rios. It is a John P Whitesell film. Whitesell is also reprising his role as director from Big Momma’s House 2.
Jackson comes to the top of his game delivering not only well timed lines, but also fully engaging the full scope of his character, Sharmaine. Paired with Lawrence and many other very capable performers, it is a must see comedy hit. While there is evidence that the element of a crime movie is in the script, the comedy steals the spotlight and propels the movie into slapstick heaven.
A very funny movie that is well worth the time. Some of the critics are not very nice to the film, but it truly is a funny motion picture. Released in February 2011, it will be released to DVD and Blu ray soon. A definite plus to any movie collection.
